Mia's Birthday Weekend

I had quite the birthday weekend. I LOVE my birthday. Mommy took the Fri before my birthday off so that she and Daddy could take me to see Dinosaurs. WOW were they cool. Then on my actual birthday Mommy, Sissy, and Daddy took me to the Ft Worth Zoo. That is my favorite place in the world. After the zoo we ate dinner and had cookies (Mommy let me pick what I wanted, and I wanted cookies instead of cake). Cook, Nana, and Khyi came over later to give me presents. I LOVE PRESENTS. Whoever invented presents gets a big kiss from me. At the end of my birthday I was very tired, but wanted to be around all my new stuff. Mommy let me make a mat on the floor (on top of my new keyboard you walk on) and I watched Mickey Mouse and the choo-choo train. WHAT A GREAT TIME!!! I can't wait for more birthdays

Crested Butte CO

We just had our very first family vacation. David, Mia, Mikaela, and myself drove to Crested Butte, CO for a week in the mountains. It was so amazing. The weather was perfect. Mikaela and Dave went white water rafting, and then she and I went horseback riding in the mountains. Mia had the best time of all playing with the rocks at the condo, climbing the mountains, feeding the chipmunks, and seeing a real bear (that was not so fun for Mommy).
Surgey Update and more

Hi Everyone,
In case I missed updating you...Mia's eye surgery went awesome!! She was in and out in 3o mins. The recovery the first 2 days was a little rough but she was trooper. We went to her post-op appt and Dr Stager wants her to wear her patch 1-2 hrs a day and continue with her current glasses for 5 more weeks. He said her eye was perfectly straightened by the surgery!!! We go back on Oct 2nd to have him look at her progress with the patch (to help strengthen the muscle in the straight position) and he is going to drastically reduce the prescription for her glasses. We are hopeful that with the help of glasses...in 5-10 years she might not need them anymore, so keep your fingers crossed. The picture is Mia 3 days post-op. She has some redness in her eyes, but that wasn't slowing her down :)

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We've been very busy. Here are a few updates. I had eye surgery on Friday to help my eyes from crossing. Mommy and Daddy said I did great. Friday afternoon through Sunday morning were kinda rough. The medicine the gave me to make me go to sleep upset my tummy. I couldn't keep anything down until the wee hours of Saturday morning. Then my tummy was upset all day Saturday with the other end :( FINALLY on Sunday I was all better. My eyes are a little bloodshot, but it is quickly going away. I go back to the Dr on Monday to see how I am doing. The Dr. said that he might need to change the prescription of my glasses, so I don't have to wear them again until Tuesday. The pictures and videos below are some new ones that Mommy and I wanted to share. Khyi came over a few days after my surgery and gave me lots of hugs and kisses to make me feel better
